The Story of Our Studio

Since founding her studio in 2004, Alexandra Naranjo has built a practice around a simple but rare quality: genuine curiosity. Her work resists easy categorization. Color, pattern, and texture become tools for expressing the individuality of each unique client and space.

The Visionary Behind Our Firm

Alexandra is driven by the feeling of doing something entirely fresh and new. She travels regularly to leading trade shows and sourcing events, not just to stay current, but to maintain the relationships with vendors, artisans, and showrooms that give her clients access to materials most projects never encounter. It’s a way of working that keeps her clients at the edge of what’s possible.

“I use color to shape atmosphere, evoke emotion, and tell a story. Rooted in a European design sensibility, my work celebrates richness, craftsmanship, and sophisticated layering. Every interior is thoughtfully composed to reflect the people who live within it, resulting in timeless spaces that are bold, deeply personal, and entirely one of a kind.”

That sensibility has earned its share of recognition. In 2019, Alexandra was named one of the world’s leading designers by London Design et al, an acknowledgment of both her distinctive point of view and the trust she’s built with clients over time. She is also listed in Architectural Digest’s Pro Directory, among a curated group of designers considered essential to the industry today.

Meet The Team

Mike Sand

Mike Sand

Design Coordinator

Mike first arrived in Palm Beach in the early ’90s, taking a job at a flower shop in Via Mizner. Since then, he’s traveled the country and worked with some of the world’s top luxury brands in furniture, textiles, and wallcoverings. Today, he finds himself back in Palm Beach, rediscovering his passion alongside one of his best friends and mentors, Alexandra, while embracing a new chapter in an industry that has shaped much of his life.

A kid at heart, he believes in leading with kindness and lives by a simple motto: find, create, and share happiness and joy. When he’s not working, you’ll usually find him riding his bike at sunrise along the beach, camera in hand, capturing the occasional sunrise shot or selfie. He has a melancholy heart, a love for nostalgic black-and-white films, and a soft spot for escaping into episodes of Antiques Roadshow UK.

Chris Blythe

Operations Coordinator

Chris plays an integral role in keeping projects organized and moving forward. Working closely with the Alexandra Naranjo Designs team, vendors, and clients, he provides operational support through project coordination, vendor management, and client communication. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service, he helps create a seamless experience from start to finish while fostering strong relationships with both clients and industry partners. An animal lover at heart, he’s always happiest near the ocean. When he’s not working, you’ll find him gardening or spending time outdoors.

Miguel Barreto

Miguel Barreto

Design Assistant

As an interior designer, Miguel enjoys creating spaces that are sophisticated, functional, and thoughtfully curated. He is particularly drawn to the use of color, texture, and timeless furnishings to bring warmth and personality to a home. With an appreciation for antiques and decorative arts, he enjoys sourcing distinctive pieces and materials that add depth and interest to a space. He believes great design comes from balancing beauty and practicality while creating interiors that reflect the people who live in them.

Rafael Torres

Rafael Torres

Lead Drafting Technician

Passionate about design and architecture, with a serious attention to detail and a slight inability to stop working once an idea starts flowing. As a Team Lead, Rafael enjoys guiding projects from concept to completion, collaborating with talented people, and helping turn great ideas into real spaces. He’s always chasing the perfect balance between creativity, functionality, and thoughtful design. A big Formula 1 and motorsports fan, he’s drawn to speed, precision, and anything engineered beautifully. When not working, which is rare, he’s usually playing guitar, writing music, or finding inspiration somewhere between a great song and a race weekend.

Domenica Cuesta

Domenica Cuesta

Drafting Technician

Domenica is passionate about design in all its forms and deeply committed to the color burgundy for reasons that don’t need explaining. Slightly obsessed with interiors, tiny beautiful details, architecture, jewelry, and hunting down flight deals as if it were a competitive sport. Proud dog mom to a very spoiled little pup who fully expects nightly walks and playtime without exception. Usually found somewhere between a pilates class, a yoga stretch, and planning her next little treat for the week. Firm believer that life is significantly better after a workout, a good coffee, and quality time with good friends.

Cristian Cordova

Cristian Cordova

Drafting Technician

Cristian lives by daily to-do lists and highly organized workflows, firmly believing the best way to master creative chaos is with a solid plan. He approaches architecture with that same mix of analytical structure and a sharp visual eye. When he’s not streamlining project phases, his love for exploring takes him on the road, traveling and capturing unique urban spaces through architectural photography. To recharge after hours of focused discipline at the drafting board, he heads out to music festivals, chasing the vibrant energy of live performances.

Paola Silva

Paola Silva

Drafting Technician

Paola brings energy (and the occasional karaoke break) into the studio. Texture-driven and detail-obsessed, she approaches design through materials, atmosphere, and composition – always backed by a perfectly curated playlist, secretly a frustrated DJ. Fast, practical, and resourceful, she has a talent for discovering unique pieces filled with history and personality. An artist at heart, she paints, sketches, and never skips a good exhibition. She believes great design is something you feel, not just see. On weekends, you’ll probably find her visiting her horse and convincing herself she does not need another dog.

Giomara Maldonado

Giomara Maldonado

Drafting Technician

The kind of person who walks into a room and automatically straightens crooked frames with her eyes. Her superpower? Spotting the tiniest details. Half plant lady, half design critic. A loyal fan of picnics, mountains, museums, and places full of history. She can spend hours admiring handmade crafts, listening to indie music nobody knows, and getting lost in galleries. She loves traveling, discovering new places, and collecting adventures with friends. Basically: an artistic soul, botanical spirit, and a sharp eye for aesthetic chaos.

Diana Galan

Diana Galan

Drafting Technician

Nicknamed “the working machine” at work for her ability to disappear into design mode for hours without slowing down. Fueled by creativity, black coffee, and an alarming enthusiasm for Zoom calls, she enjoys staying active, exploring the city, and spending time outdoors with her adopted pup. Firm believer that good design and good energy can fix almost anything.”

Pamela Gallegos

Pamela Gallegos

Drafting Technician

Pamela is a creative (and slightly dramatic) soul. Known for architectural drafting, design detailing, and a particular love for crafting design boards, she has a soft spot for historic architecture and is often found sketching old buildings by hand. Outside the studio, she balances pilates and yoga, occasionally works as a model, and is usually immersed in a romantic novel or searching for something good to eat – though, for everyone’s wellbeing, she strongly recommends feeding her first. Proceed with caution: hunger tends to make her mildly dangerous.

Nicolas Marin

Nicolas Marin

Drafting Technician

Nico, because if you call him Nicolas, he’ll assume something went wrong. The newest draft pick on the team, he’s navigating the rookie phase while catching up on references, inside jokes, and conversations that seem to have started months ago. Quiet at first, but quick to warm up, he’s always ready to join the jokes, share a story, or sing along when the office playlist gets good. Outside work, he’s usually browsing flights he probably shouldn’t book yet or online games he definitely shouldn’t be starting that late. He enjoys discovering new places, trying local food, and saying yes to spontaneous plans, usually before thinking too much about them.

Norbert Miklos

Norbert Miklos

Norbert quietly keeps everything running behind the scenes, ensuring every detail is exactly where it needs to be. Part organizer, part problem-solver, and unapologetic spreadsheet enthusiast, he supports the creative vision while keeping the business operating seamlessly. If everything seems effortless, he’s probably done his job. Outside the office, he’s a vintage car and motorcycle enthusiast with an appreciation for craftsmanship, engineering, and timeless design.

Let’s create something extraordinary.
